01

Why it matters

A great community event needs imagination, safe coordination and people who are willing to turn a playful idea into a real day at the lake.

02

Collective contribution

Organisers, teams and volunteers turned the lakeside promenade into a joyful community event.

03

Niklas’ documented contribution

Niklas helped organise through RT219, worked at the stand and joined the team behind the table's own paper boat.

04

Who benefits

Families at the lake and Eltern-Kind-Programm e.V. through the proceeds from the RT219 stand.

05

Documented outcome

Hundreds of people gathered along the promenade. The RT219 boat reached third place and appeared in Süddeutsche Zeitung. The stand combined conversation, fun and direct support for Eltern-Kind-Programm.

06

What continues

The race returns every two years. New ideas, new boats and new stories are part of the fun.

Sometimes doing good looks like cardboard, wallpaper paste, candy floss and a few hundred people laughing beside the lake. That is exactly why it works.
